Power League Gaming has announced a 16-team tournament held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on December 12-16, which will have $100,000 on offer.

The PLG Grand Slam will take place on the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with eight of the 16 teams receiving direct invites, while the other half will come from regional qualifiers held all around the world on FACEIT's platform.

The qualifiers will be held from October 26 to November 17, in South America, GCC & South Asia, East Asia, North America, South East Asia & India, Levant & Africa, Europe, and Oceania, with the winners of each securing a spot at the $100,000 tournament.

Former Risky player, now the manager of operations at Power League Gaming, Abdullah "t0ks" Al-Ghafari, had the following to say about the tournament in the press release:

"The PLG Grand Slam focuses mainly on providing an opportunity for teams that are looking for a breakthrough. We are not aiming to create a world-class spectacle but rather a high-standard event that will have all necessary elements for a player, team, talent member, and spectators to enjoy being a part of.
