Fernando "fer" Alvarenga will not be able to take part in MIBR's last event of the year, BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, due to medical reasons, it has been announced.

In an interview with FACEIT that aired during Saturday's ECS semi-final clash against North, fer revealed that he will undergo surgery to fix his right ear problem on December 14, with team manager Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia confirming to ESPN Esports Brasil that the player will return to his homeland after the ESL Pro League Season 8 Finals, in two weeks.

This will be fer's second surgery since joining the team, the first while part of MIBR. In 2016, he spent a month on the sidelines after going under the knife to fix a breathing problem, with Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves replacing him in the ESL Pro League.
