Ronald "Rambo" Kim sat next to Cloud9 during their matches on stage at the iBUYPOWER Masters tournament in California.

Rambo, who parted ways with compLexity in late 2018, is at iBUYPOWER Masters 2019 with Cloud9. The coach is on trial with the North American team, who beat fnatic and lost to Astralis in their two first matches at the event, although he was not in the server during said matches and was instead sitting next to Soham "valens" Chowdhury.

Cloud9 have their eye on Rambo to take over coaching duties
With valens stepping away from the coaching position to build Cloud9's analytics division, which he talked about at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, the American organization has been trying out different options.

After Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen, who had been trying out late in 2018, it is now Rambo who is being tested by Cloud9 to see if he is the right fit for the team. The next tournament he could appear at after iBUYPOWER Masters would be at the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational in Atlanta, where the American-European team will be competing next week.

Cloud9 is currently:

United States Timothy "autimatic" Ta
United States William "RUSH" Wierzba
France Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey
Sweden Robin "flusha" Rönnquist
United States Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro (Trial)

United States Soham "valens" Chowdhury (Coach)
United States Ronald "Rambo" Kim (Coach)
