Steam Shows the Game Is Running

Greetings to all my friends, I have been having a problem on Steam, when I go to play a game. Yesterday when I open Steam for playing 'Dota 2', Steam is showing the game is running. I tried to stop it, but I cant. But after searching online, I came across this guide. Could anyone please confirm, if this article might be helpful in anyway?

After not getting any response, I searched online for resolving the issue and came across this guide. First I verified the integrity of game files then reinstalled Steam. After doing the tasks properly, the problem got solved. Now I have no longer any issues if I want to stop the game from Steam. Though I am not sure if these are the permanent solutions or not, but I have no longer any issues now.

Next time try restarting your computer, and if you still have the issue, log out from steam and log in again, this should resolve your problem most of the times.
