G2 have announced that Damien "maLeK" Marcel will coach their team at ESL One New York.

The 32-year-old will be taking over from Jérôme "NiaK" Sudries, who is now described by G2 as being the team's manager after transitioning to a coaching role in March, when Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux stepped down from his position as coach to play competitively again.

maLeK is mostly known for his time with EnVyUs, whom he most notably guided to a first-place finish at DreamHack Open Atlanta 2017 and to playoff appearances at the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals and ELEAGUE Premier 2017.
