ESL will host all four Minors leading to the IEM Katowice Major in the same city as the main event, it has been revealed.

The announcement was made on Twitter by ESL's Vice President for Pro Gaming, Michal "CARMAC" Blicharz, who added that this decision will help teams from certain regions to secure visas for the events.

Hosting all the Minors in the same country as the main event was a system introduced by FACEIT ahead of the company's London Major with a view to providing more consistency between the competitions and limiting roster changes and visa issues.

Earlier on Tuesday, ESL revealed the first details about the qualifying process for the Minors, kicking off in just two weeks' time. Registration for the online qualifiers in all four regions will open next week.
